Ophelia Joined Dowse & Co in September 2022 as a solicitor having worked previously at Hutchins & Co in Hackney and Clinton Davis Pallis.
Prior to returning to London, Ophelia worked in a large regional firm in Cheshire for 8 years as a legal aid family lawyer.
Ophelia has a wealth of practical legal experience in Family Law advising on Divorce and Matrimonial Finance, Injunctions, Care Proceedings and Child Arrangements – disputes between parties of where and with whom a child(ren) should live.
She is pragmatic in her approach, sensitive to the needs of the client and with a calm and level-headed manner has successfully settled numerous cases where often the limited assets within the case is often not sufficient to meet both parties needs.

Notable Cases:
- D, E, and F (Children) (The Children Act 1989), [2025] EWFC 174 (B): Ophelia acted for a mother in care proceedings concerning 3 children aged 8, 4 & 2. All the children had contracted gonorrhoea while in the mother’s care. Following an 8-day Fact Finding Hearing the court ruled that the children be returned to the mother’s care immediately after judgment was handed down.
