Career: Shamila joined Dowse & Co in August 2018 as a Trainee Solicitor starting with a seat in the civil department which compromises of housing and personal injury law. Before joining Dowse, Shamila worked in various solicitors firms working dealing with a mix of legal aid and privately funded clients. She has experience working as a mental health paralegal, representing extremely vulnerable individuals and advocating for their rights. Shamila has also spent time working in a mortgage repossessions department and in personal injury firm specialising in in RTA claims.
Shamila obtained her undergraduate law degree at University of Bedfordshire in 2014 and went on to complete her LPC together with her Masters in Professional Practice in 2018, gaining a Merit overall.
During her training contract Shamila has been involved in Housing, Personal Injury and Family Law cases. She is particularly familiar with particular matters surrounding possession, homelessness, disrepair, anti-social behaviour cases.
